Topic: Santa brought me an NS7FX and I have questions

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

Hey All,

My wife got me an NS7FX for Christmas. First DJ item she ever bought me without asking first. After bad experiences buying items without doing the research first, then finding out it doesn't work as advertised after I bought it, I haven't taken it out of the box yet. I know it comes with Itch and figure that works fine with it. I would like to use it with VDJ, though. I did a quick search in the forum and saw that a lot of people are having audio problems and others are experiencing lag when doing video. As most of us know, most of the time only problems make it on to the forum. I did see a couple users that have success with it, though. So, I'm going to post the spec's of my Mac and what I plan to do with it. I'm looking for feedback both positive and negative. I thank all responders in advance for their feedback.

MacBook Pro OSX 10.5.8
2.33 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
2GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
Currently using VDJ 6.1. Haven't upgraded yet because I have older versions on the HD and haven't gotten around to deleting them to instal VDJ 7

My music and vid's are all on external USB drives. When I do video, I have 5 of them connected via a powered USB hub (just one for audio)

I am not a scratch/battle DJ, but I do throw some baby scratches in from time to time. Also like to manipulate the vid's using the scratch function when mixing.

I am a beat mixer and rarely (if ever) use Auto Mix

I play in clubs and do mobile events

I'm a Capricorn and enjoy long walks on the beach... OK... maybe I don't like walks on the beach.

Hopefully I've covered everything. Usually I forget a key piece of information that I realize immediately after I post. Again, please post both positive and negative experiences with this equipment. Hope you all had a Merry Christmas, Hanukkah, Festivas, or any other holiday around this time of year!
