HEY GUYS! So i got some equipment on christmas to help me get started as a dj. I got the iBattlePack which consists of the Numark iM1 mixer, and 2 TT1625 turntables. I need to buy speakers still though. I was wondering if there was some way to hook up these tables to a laptop/deskop and use them as controllers for virtualdj. I heard Rane has some vinyl thingy too but im not sure how it works.
can you guys help me out?

I don't own turntables, but I think all you need left is a sound card, timecodes, and Virtual DJ Pro. You connect your computer to the sound card and the sound card to your setup. Someone that knows will help you in detail soon. I suggest buying Virtual DJ Pro first buddy.

Yes you can hook up Virtual Dj adn your turntables via an external sound card/ interface. There are several interface units that work perfectly fine with Virtual Dj and Virtual Dj vinyl time codes.
You can also use Torq Vinyl time code, or Serato (rane) vinyl time code vinyls to control Virtual Dj from either your lap top or desktop computer.

In your case they are records that tell your computer like hey lets communicate and be buddies, they help you control Virtual DJ. If you scratch on those records, you scratch in the program as well.

I think there are sound cards that are bundled with VDJ LE software, am I right? I think the Naitive instruments Audio 4 or 8 is bundled.
Basically you want a sound card that allows you to connect your 2 TT's to it and have the sound come out of THAT into your mixer. Then, as Dj Obedose and dj ho productions said, the time coded vinyl would allow you to scratch and stuff.

Native Instruments Audio 4 and 8 DJ are not bundled with VirtualDJ LE.
There is a starter pack for the Hercules DJ Trim sound card that includes timecode vinyl and VirtualDJ LE. It can also be upgraded at a discount to the full VirtualDJ Pro.
