Gang -
I have the current RPM (Top Hits Video) DVD set.
They are in fact 48k audio.
Now VOB is close to original but cannot support file level tagging.
After analyzing the MP4 RPM offers on their MP4 DVD, I finally found something to make decent conversion to MP4 and that is HandBrake.
Use a preset but just bump up the bit rate to 4k average.
Now here is the question. Would I be better off converting the 48k to 41k or leave as is?
Oh, and went from 141mb to 114mb, but ability to tag and recoup a small bit of space does make it worth while. :)

In theory 48KHz can bring you better sound because it works faster and can process more bits in less time than 44.1KHz. I've tested both and honestly I can't hear the difference between the two. If I re-code a commercial video disk that's 48KHz I normally leave it as is. If I replace a sound track (Which I often do) with a 320 Mp3 OR a .Wav I normally set it for 44.1KHz.

Thanks for that advice. :)
After using Super and other utilities, Handbrake seems the best option. Makes AWESOME MP4s either via H.264 or MPEG4 encoding and does it very well.
Batch encoding and direct from DVD or ISO.
