Hey everybody!! Are there any other all-in-one units besides the Numark MixDeck out there. The thing seems great but I was wondering if anybody else knows of a different one. And yes I've googled...............
Thanks for looking and your time

Well there are a few I know of for the least. The Numark MixDeck, Hercules RMX, American Audio VMS4 seem to all be pretty good, apart from the VSM4 which I know from others has a lot of down sides to it. But another one, I think should closely be looked at is the Hercules 4-MX, I can't manage to find anywhere selling it anywhere on the net, but it seems pretty legit.

Nah man you in same boat as me... I'm still not fully sold on anything yet, most likely the mc6000 atm. NS7 with 4 channel mixer with full midi would be the bomb. Let's see what will be release in the January expo's.
An interesting piece of hardware though is the Citronic mpx10. Just a bit too small IMO

Yeah I've looked at the Herc and such but I really would love something along the lines of the Numark MixDeck. Only if the mixer was 4 channels and midi.....................whoa!! I want something along those lines. Plays CD's, MP3's, Midi Functions, with a built in sound card and not small enough to fit in my back pocket either!! . About to have my truck paid off so I might check out the MixDeck, if I dont like I could return it I guess. I've read a ton of reviews on it both good & bad so will see. Hopefully January's Expo brings something like I'm looking for but I have a feeling everything will be small and midi. The midi part is great but the size is getting carried away.
Any others out there, chime in

I also am looking and also dislike how everything is getting smaller. The NI S4 is another option or the Allan and Heath units if you got enough loot.

Their are many options out there:
Hercules (controllers seem to be very popular)
Mixdeck (I like this one personally. But with all the problems people have been having, It plays better with VDJ)
VMS4 (lots of people have had various issues. A new vms4 is rumored to be coming)
NI S4
Xone (have a few diffrent controllers. pricey)

sorry to say huey, but a four channel-midi mixer? with all functions? bro your better off just making your own MIDI combo of pioneer CDJs and a 4 chan mixer.
VMS4 would be what your looking for but no CD playback or USB playback.

Huey...I went through the same thought process...even to the point that I pre-ordered a Mixdeck prior to launch...but then changed to Dual NDX800's and Behringer DDM4000.
Was a it good choice...well that depends.
In the UK the Mixdeck is £699 and the flightcase is £99...so for £798 you had a road ready solution. The NDX's and DDM came out at £849, then add to that £79 for a DJIO and £150 for a flightcase (got a cracking deal as they normally retail at £329!) - total £1078.
So was the extra £280 worth it...no!
Don't get me wrong I love the 4 channel DDM4000 (don't bother with the MIDI kit, just run it as an external mixer)...but the NDX800's don't offer anything more than the Mixdeck - in fact Dual NDX800's don't appear to function correctly with Version 7, but that's a different topic.
Oh and jesus it's heavy when all packed! I have no idea how much the fully loaded flightcase weighs...so thank god for the inbuilt wheels (doesn't help when your playing in part of the club where you have to climb stairs!).
One bonus of a solution such as the Mixdeck is that if the computer has a brainfart, you can switch to CD's...and if that goes south, you can always use memory sticks...and if it all goes completely pear shaped, use your iPod/iPhone!...Sheesh!
Strangely, my most used pieces of kit at the mo are the Mixmesiter Controller, DJIO, Dell Studio, and a DI Box...all fits into a custom DJ bag...talk about taking a load off...lol
So in conclusion...do I wish I'd bought a Mixdeck...Yes.

Well Simon thanks that helped me out alot!! I had been watching your thread about the NDX's cause all the reviews were great. And like you I figured I'd just run with a 4 channel mixer but after reading your thread thought I'd hold off. Its lookin like I'm gonna go ahead and order the MixDeck. If it falls through I'll just return it. I do have the Hercules RMX comin, should be here monday. Just ordered it to see what it is and can do, plus it was dirt cheap, lol!! Hopefully this MixDeck turns out to be great plus I got a spare InnoFader just lying around so will see what happens.
Thanks for all the input fellas, keep it comin you might help out other aswell..............
