#2 Evil thing to do is post crap like this on the VDJ Forum!

You DID hear that from me, & u will hear it from others soon!

not even close to being the number 1 evil thing.

walk up to the owner/manager and tell them their dj sucks and that you can do the job better, cheaper, and then prove it.

close runner-ups include:

sending people up to request things that are completely impossible. tibetan throat singing really doesnt mix with anything else.

finding the the one woman in the bar that "beer-goggles" will N E V E R help and telling her the dj is attracted to her.

one word - superglue... (think about it)

spill a pitcher of beer all over his entire setup?

ouch, i reackon thats the worst thing possible like. theres nothing surely that can be worse than having your entire setup destroyed by some drunken goon with then crap kicked out of him. thats gonna hit the pocket and the event.

hold on, has anyone thought this guy might be looking for revenge lol. watch your decks peeps.

Very true but thats why you put in your contract that who ever is contracting you is responsible of providing a safe space for your set up area that wont have high traffic and not being able to bring a beverage to the booth when coming up to request and second to cover your but completely is have insurance on your gear just incase...

Don't want to think about this sort of thing, it's mischievous and of a teenage mentality.

You read my mind Charlie, and to the original poster please curtail your language on these forums, we have people of all ages and from all walks of life visiting these forums and one thing we don't need is that expressive language been used.

I would hate to see this type of post and behaviour become the norm.

He's posted this same exact thing in several other topics, so I'm assuming he is just copy pasting this all over every DJ / Mixing forum he can find.

i diddnt even know the eff word could be typed. i thought it was automatically ******ed .?

Funny, That just happened to me last Saturday night.
That Night I was DJing between the sets of a band. The place was kind of dead except for those that came with the band. The bass players drunk wife was in my booth wanting to sing a karaoke song while the band was on break and it was not karaoke night but I figured why not the place was dead anyway and the band did not mind, so I let her sing.

A little while later I ran into the same woman outside in the smoking area and she asked me if I was the manager or owner, I just smiled and told her no. She then proceded to tell me how she was going to talk to the owner and start doing Karaoke and DJing there and how she has some hard drive she got off of craigslist that has 98,000 karaoke songs and 30,000 dj songs etc etc.. (dang music pirates). I blew off her comments, finished my smoke and went back inside.

Then while I was doing my set I noticed her talking to the owner. Then after my set I ran into her again in the smoking area and she repeted everything she had told me the last time we talked....I could not hold my tounge any longer.......Look Mam, I don't mean to be rude or anything but I am the resident DJ here that sound you hear, those lights you see that is all installed here is mine and this is what I do for a living this is how I provide for my family and that I can't believe she has the nerve to sit here and tell me she is going to try and take my job. She then put two and two together and realized she was telling the wrong person her intentions. Drink another one Honey, geez.

Later the manager came to hang out in the booth for a while and to point her out and told me she was trying to take my Job..I told him "I know, it's a free country" I don't have anything to worry about but it still got under my skin a little

Um...moderator? Please close/delete this thread. I'm here to share and learn ideas, not weed out idiotic topics like this one. It provides no value or help to anyone and the language is uncalled-for. Moronic at best.

Apparently some people didn't read my post lol

you must be pshycic rob lol.

Actually I am! lol

Not paying the DJ is evil. I would kick some ass with a tripod if that ever happened. lol

Funny thing is that this is an exact thing that Deadmau5 posted a long time back on facebook.

Wow! People really need to just sit back and relax, and maybe have a laugh, yest this was posted in one other topic, it was the I decided to make it a topic, if you call that spaming than go ahead, I'm really not offended nor do I care, and yes I to am here to help, learn, advise, and better the program we all use and love. Maybe instead of reating to this post as a stupid comment and teenage behavior, you could look at it as a lesson.....to turn of your remote settings and other programs that steal presious RAM from your system and make your performance go on with out a hitch, I to am a DJ and dont wish this on anyone, but I can still appreciate the humor behind it. That being said DJs are supposed to have fun so stop being so uptight and judgmentitive.

Maybe you should have stated it like that in the first place then dude! Act like a professional DJ who can speak in a public forum without dropping a few f-bombs or some homophobic comments.

When I'm out having a beer with you, it's a whole different ballgame.

Professional DJs generally have licenses.

Had to say it. I've read the same comment (#1 evil thing...) in other areas of the forums as well. Give respect and get respect. The comment wasn't funny the first time.
