OK HERE WE GO...
Love the Flange effect at the beginning...
And I love the first tune...
1.50...The mix at was ok... simple transition but well exicuted...
2.22...New tune at comming in... could have left that last tune to run a bit longer as its a goodie
2.43... Bit ov a sharp blend but ok really, could have been a bit slower with the transition but good use ov \"under-mixing\" using the Highs/mids/bass knobs.
2.50...LOVE THIS TUNE... What is it?
3.40...New tune... WOW THEY COME THICK AND FAST EH? PHEW!!
4.32...Nice sample
5.35... New tune... a bit too different from the last track... which was GROOVY!!
7.22...Good transition... nice and smooth with a nice break
9.11...Bit too fast a blend and overlapping vocals!! just need to slow down a little... take your time and let the tunes breath a bit.
11.19...The two tunes sort ov fought each other for a bit, but good tune comming in though.
12.31...Great Machetti remix
All in alll... not half badl... pretty good tune selection, well mixed in the most part....
personally i think you could slow down a bit and let the music run a little... Also, maybe try some different mixing methods too... backspin into the next track can be quite effective in DubStep...Also very gradual blends can feel and sound very smooth...
Well done though... ive friended you so i know when you post up a new mix
i hope you dont think i was too critical... im just giving (hopfully) the sort ov constructive criticsm that i really wanted when i started posting up my mixes...
you can check out my mixes on SoundCloud... DJ GeneDefekt (CrySis)

Solid mix! I'm guessing You were cutting the tracks short to fit a lot of mixes into a short amount of time, which is totally ok, but don't be afraid to ride those transitions out longer. Seems like some of the cuts between songs were a little quick. Don't be afraid to let the track run together for a while.
PS Ninja Gaiden FTW!! That's the track that made me love dubstep.

@ Jakeintox: Thnx!! you're right i was stuffing alot of trax in an only 14 mix, i guess i should have more patience and let the tracks play a little longer and flourish. I'll keep that in mind for the next time and yeah Ninja Gaiden is really nice song! it has a soul that not many dubstep songs have and that makes it so good.
@ Seana: you'll be hearing from me in the near future : )
I will listen to a few mixes of you too

I understand D&B is not my cup of tea but...there are some rules to blending that should never, ever be overlooked if your recording to publish. Number 1) use harmonic mixing. http://www.harmonic-mixing.com/HowTo.aspx There are numerous threads on it on these forums, do a search. Number 2) Try and keep the BPM difference to around 3%. Any more, or less, can effect how smooth the transition sounds. 3) Know your music. Keep the breaks in mind. Try and stay in the same genre. Don't jump around too much. If your not sure, it's probably not going to work. Here is a super slick tutorial on genres, and how to identify them http://techno.org/electronic-music-guide/ Last but not least, and this only applies to recording to publish, know what your trying to accomplish. I spend days, weeks and, sometimes months planning my mixes. Keep those points in mind, and you should be fine.
If we're talking a live mix..all bets are off....the crowd rules your actions..not the mix....

@ TearEmUp: again thnx for the great advice and links : ) you're all being of such a great help : ) really feel directly at home in this community.
Btw: i'm only using dubstep atm (no d'n'b ) so no mashing up genres and i keep the bpm @ 140 most of the times.
@ Seana: really like ur mixes, didn't get to hear all of them yet but i like it already although Darkstep isn't really my favorite kind of dub :d
i prefer the flithy basslines : D going to listen some more of you tomorrow (getting late). And again really thanks for the advice and your time so far... really appreciate it and it's not harsh at all ... rather like it honest : ) i know i won't be really good first time i try. Would love to improve myself : )
