Topic: Scratching fader to far..

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

hey guys i use the scratch fader with my hercules rmx but my problem is the the sound shut off point on the program is too far in from the edge not allowing you to crab scratch or any scratches that require small quick movements of the fader...

my question is, is there some how to change the distance of the switch point??

no i have it on the scratch setting but for exaample

----------|- say on a normal mixer thats the point in witch a fader cuts music...

--------|-- thats where it turns off on virtual dj so i cant "tweet" or "Crab" properly...

And thats the problem with midi...............itll never match a real anolog mixer.

Good Luck

You can adjust the crossfader_curve by setting the exact behavour.

Draw something like this to show how your crossfader would like to respond and i will try to make the script for you. (And i say i will try because ihavent done this before.hehe)

Have you tried a credit card mod.

Just search for it to see what it is.

For best results, go ahead and make it so that it is just at the edge of the sound cutoff, then slowly grind away at the card with a nail file until you have a very small cut in distance. I would glue the card in on the hercules.

By nail file, i meant emory board.
Dont file it with it put back together, but if you have to, do it upside down so you dont get dust in the fader

thx for the creditcard suggestion buutt dont want to mod the hercules as i will want to sell it eventually..

Mod may be too strong a term for this, all it is is glueing a piece of plastic onto the under side of the face plate. It will just pop right back off, but opening anything is always a little nerve racking ;)
