I'm totally new to the Virtual DJ forum. I had a quick question. I was looking to download the free Virtual DJ program for my MBP. Is there any place to download free effects or plugins? Or do those only come with a paid version of Virtual DJ?

Okie dokie! Couple other questions. Would third party effects work with this program? Free or paid version. And what does it mean noncommercial (unpaid)? Like, can I use the free version for a project?

Some 3rd party VST plugins can be used, but these are only available for and compatible with Windows PC's.
Official effects designed for use with VirtualDJ that been tested and verified by us can only be downloaded from http://www.virtualdj.com/addons/index.html with a valid registered product license: http://www.virtualdj.com/products/comparison.html
Non-commercial (Unpaid) means that you cannot use VirtualDJ Home FREE to earn money in any way, e.g: DJ'ing at a gig where you are being paid, using it to produce mixes for which you will be paid, etc.
Using it for fun at home, or at a party where you are not being paid is OK.
NOTE: VirtualDJ add-ons obtained from an unofficial or illegal 3rd party source may not work correctly and may cause the software to crash.
