Depends on what you want to create, Charlie. If you want to create something like Format, or DJ Dad, you have a big learning curve. If you want to create something simple...not as much....it's all up to you...

Actually for all the VDJ skin engines cares, you can make a skin of just black lines on a white background, its all about the scripting. As of the public though, you might want some sort of graphics for them to accept your skin and actually use it.
