I'm using 7.0.2 Home Free (b347). I created a playlist and have it set to use automix fade (intro and outro). The playlist has about 25 songs on it. All the songs are in my D drive, whereas the program itself (and database) are in the C drive.
There are two problems:
1. Sometimes the playlist will "choke" on a song. It will skip it and the next two songs. Or it will play only a snippet of a song. Or it will simply stop playing when it gets to a certain song. Or it will crash. The only fix I've found is to manually open the database XML file and delete the songs that it is choking on.
2. If I start playing the automix, VDJ naturally starts on song 1. If I double-click, say, song 10, usually it works. Sometimes it doesn't. I also sometimes have problems if I double-click song 10 and then shortly afterward double-click, say, song 8.
I uninstalled the problem and did a fresh install. That did not fix the problems.
I like VDJ generally, but this problem is really serious: I cannot trust VDJ to automix a playlist. I live in constant fear that it is going to suddenly start hosing playlists.
Anyone seen this behavior, or have any ideas what the fix is? It's causing me severe annoyance. Is this perhaps only a problem with the free version?
