Just discused with Paul on Skype, about buying the Firetext. Was thinking that we VDJ users have little bit lower price. But i was wrong.
Does anyone know about some similar program to use for SMS to screen. Whitout paying monthly. Just buy licence. Thank you.

Hi Tomas

I have Firetext (lite version) - That was a one off payment and all I pay for is the SMS messages I send, works great. I know that firetext now do a monthly option, but I'm sure you can still buy a licence outright if you want to

Hi Tomas, as I pointed out to you earlier Firetext runs specific promotions for the benefit of all users who have paid for a version of VDJ throughout the year,

The promotion you wanted had been running for over a year and many users had seen the great deal it was and took advantage of it, unfortunately for you that has been superceded and been replaced with a great new offer.

So in answer to your question you are wrong, VDJ users do get a good deal from Firetext and a damn good one, but like all promotions they won't be about while you decide if you want it or not, you had over a year to decide!

i downloaded both to try, i think i will probably go with the iwall software with it being free. then upgrade eventually to the one off lifetime pro version. for now just being ablt to learn how the software works for free is enough for me.

though im having trouble setting up iwall with my bluetooth

Thanks @superacdman yes! iWall is somehow similar to FireText Suite and way of commercializing, in case you didn't know, FireText is one time only purchase starting on $250 - cheaper than anyone ;) but we will not be fair if this thread only mention iWall coz there are a lot of similar applications out there, even with better techie...

As you may see, there are a lot of applications out there, but not one with native integration to VirtualDJ (even free of charge - and evolving - not talking about FreeFrame integration and not interested in starting a discussion here), plus allow me to point out some tips when selecting a Text To Screen software: you will need good support with appropriate location and availability as you will be doing your gigs in your TZ and local style; look for the extra services and features just to have an idea of the size of the company and the way they can react to problems on different scenarios, also estimate how much installations they have, just to be sure installed software will force the company to continuously evolve the suite... apart of that I think all other things are minor, of course budget is an issue, I have to agree, but well, every company got it's own cost, right?
 
I need some help getting it to work with my droid.. Skype drs.dss1118 If anyone can help that would be great.
 
wow i got an amazing deal on FT then, bought it just in the nick of time i guess...

For my private gigs just mentioning to people this is one feature i offer makes them say "you can do that?"
great tool to have, what i charge for this feature at gigs has paid itself over and over and over.... in just months...

Firetext is a great free plugin. I use it for my logo and slide shows. I want to use the movie option of the plugin but it is only available on the paid version. I don't mind paying for it but I would have to spend $900 just to use that feature as it is bundled with the sms feature. I am not interested in sms. I wish Firetext admin would offer VDJ users the option to pay to activate the movie option without having to buy the entire plugin. I think a fair price will be between $150-$200.

Problem for me is internet connection. I can use internet only on two of six places where i use to perform.
Can i use FT vdj plugin in 500 bucks version(PRO)???
Last time we discussed FT it was the money reason why i did not buy FT. My foul.:-(((

Yep you can use the Firetext VDJ Plugin with the Pro Version, I use the plugin all the time on my gigs, there's no connections or links to be made, it's all done in the software for you.

Hi splao sorry but you are wrong, you need the $250 starter, just that instead of Private you'll choose the Video as a second option instead of private mesaging ;)

Although it didn't say that I can swap for video; here is what it says; cut and paste Text to Screen
or choose another feature, like Text to Win, Voting or Bulk SMS. Also when I click purchase, it didn't give me the option to swap sms for video. Please tell me how to go about getting it. I only want to activate the video as non of my clients have ever asked for sms, text etc. I don't mind paying $250 because firetext is a great plugin.
 
@splao thanks for the thumbs up, glad we are helping and customers are using the tool for crowd entretainement, we will soon have more good news ;)
regarding switching features or selecting individual features, we had all the flavors when requesting the license, even the cost of the licenses, but somehow we removed as users got confused by the too many things we got so we end with a small amount of licenses types and just talking with one of the account agents will be enough, licenses are automated but can be feature switched, just tell that to your local representative, head office if you are in us or canada, Paul for uk and europe, we also talk german in europe with Ludwig, Terance or Biyi for Zulu and you can have me on cala and asia

PS: I see your point and will ask to add the writings for the other features as well, Video to Screen, Twitter, e-mail and others...
