anyone ever decided to get drunk and start a set at the same time???
last night i decided to sit and play with my toys whilst getting drunk. anyway long story short i ploughed on for 3 hours killed 2 bottles of buckfast and half a bottle of vodka and recorded my session.
when listening back to my mix this morning i find that the set gets progressivley worse the drunker i got. for the first hour and a bit it seems ok then by the time it gets to like 2 hours+ theres some drasticly bad mixing.
just goes to show djaying and alcohol dont mix......at all.
ill upload the set so people can see how its "not" done lol.
and it sounded soo good last night lol.

actually, listening to it second time round. this thing is pretty bad full stop. im noticing more and more shittyness. man what a pile of crap. lol

track selection is pretty awesome though if i do say so myself, but thats about it. the rest is just a big pile of dog doo.

Oh yeh done that before. Nothing like a few beers to make you think God Is A DJ and You Are God. No problem if your trying stuff at home. Like you say you can come up with some interesting track lists.
Always sounds pant's when you hear it sober. Been to a few gigs where DJ's were doing it live and sounded crap. Then found out later that they had been on the booze and thought their set was awsome. Great way NOT to get asked back.

Hahaha, don't forget it's all about the song selection! If you had a good laugh doing it then it was a good use of the evening!
I think just generally DJ'ing on your own is a bad idea, although at least you don't have to deal with any drunken requests. Apart from your own...

I drink a few beers every night at my club. Sometimes friends and patrons even buy me shots. I'm a bit of a lush though so a beer an hour really does nothing but relax me a bit. A find a good bomb comes in handy every now and again as well!
