Topic: Looking for the right mixer

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

Hi,
I'm sorry if there are many different topics asking for advice like this before; I'm looking for some advice on which is the best mixer for me to get and whether it is a compatible with VDJ (I've got the full version).

I DJ mainly Mod music, so it's indie/soul/rock n roll but a bit of disco stuff too so I'm not in any need of scratching capabilities. I want to be able to have an authentic experience of using a mixer while still being able to carry all my mp3s on my laptop; would I be right in saying I would just need my laptop, a mixer, and a soundcard?

Any advice on a cheapish mixer to get? I really like the look of the Behringer BCD 2000/3000, seems a fairly simple but effective mixer for my needs. My only question is its compatibility; does anybody have anything to say on difficulties with compatibility with Virtual DJ?

Thanks for your help!

Most midi controllers are now mapped in VDJ7 natively in pro. There are always little quirks in between hardware and software that need to be ironed out (depending on user tastes) on the bench before going live.

I would suggest registering your full version of VDJ however.

Welcome to the community.

Hercules MK4 would be the best I could suggest...a soundcard, a mixer (in some ways), and a midi-controller.

@ Thyno...reading your post, it seems to me that you are looking for an "All-In-One" controller, rather than a mixer.

Here's a quick list of likely candidates:

Hercules RMX
Numark Mixtrack Pro
Numark Omni-Control
Gemini CTRL-SIX
Reloop Mixage Interface Edition
American Audio VMS2
ION Discover DJ Pro
Hercules DJ Console 4MX
Vestax VCi100 MkII
Numark iDJ3
...I could go on, right up to the Allen & Heath 4D...but it's all down to how much money you want to spend.

Any of these units would satisfy your requirements, as all you do to connect them up is, one USB cable from your computer to the unit, then output cables to your amp from the unit and a pair of headphones...job done :)

And if you go for a unit that ships with Virtual DJ LE, then an upgrade path is available for you to get the full fat Pro version of Virtual DJ - although I see you say that you have a Pro version (in which case it is a good idea to register it).

Hope this helps.
