Topic: VDJ 7 Stability

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

Hi,

When V 7 came out I tried it straight away, first night using it was a busy Saturday and midway through the night VDJ locked up, music stopped and big red face ensued. After a few minutes (which seemed like hours) I got the old CDJ's up and running.

I'm tempted to give v7 another go with the latest version but I'm nervous. Can anyone confirm if there are issues with crashing/locking up or if I'm best to stick with 6.1.2?

Also my DMC 2 died so I'm waiting for another to arrive. I have use of a DAC-2 but can seem to get it to work. Will it be better to get it running in v7?

I had had 2 crashes (early on with 7.0), both on my laptop at smaller shows. Do you have Win 7? If so, I recomend turning off windows Aero, I have not had a problem since.

Also seen that the Karaoke plugin (crashes) and the Titler plugin (mem leak) are flawed. I would avoid those too.

My main gig machine has been great so far. I would not hesitate, VDJ 7.02 is all I use.

Thanks for the info. I might go for it on a quieter night but have a CD sitting in the CDj's just incase :)

The latest VirtualDJ v7.0.2 is very stable for most users.

The DAC-2 can be used, but it is an old legacy serial device so you will need to enable it by going to CONFIG -> Mappers, click on the button to the right of the drop-down list and tick the option to use serial devices.

Then click the button again and choose to rescan for connected devices.

I own VDJ LE 7.0.2

My pc: core 2 duo (2 ghz), 2 gb ram, nvidia geforce go 7600

I have a stabilitry problem: when open VDJ it uses 2-3% of CPU.. after 20 mins uses about 30 % constant, and RAM grows up constantly...
any suggestion?
