I HAVE VIRTUAL DJ 7 AND I WAS USING IT JUST FINE WITH MY HERCULES RMX BUT TODAY I BOUGHT A NDX 800 AND I WANT TO PLUG IT INTO ONE OF THE INPUTS ON THE BACK OF MY RMX AND DISABLE ONE SIDE OF MY RMX WHILE STILL USING THE OTHER, I TRIED THIS BUT VDJ JUST USES MY RMX AS IF NOTHING WAS PLUGGED IN. WHAT SHOULD I DO? AM I DOING SOMETHING WRONG? AND ON MY NDXS LED SCREEN IT SAYS ""PWR ON DEMO"" WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?
PLEASE HELP!!!!!

If the screen is displaying "PWR ON DEMO", you haven't switched your NDX800 to MIDI mode.
To do this:
Press the "Mode" button (top button on the left of the screen), then rotate the param knob (top left of the NDX800) until the display reads "USB MIDI", then press the Param knob to set the NDX in MIDI mode.
then
Start Virtual DJ with all the units already connected and set correctly.
You can then use the options available in the Mappers tab (in Options) to set your hardware up how you want.
Hope this helps.
If you bought the NDX800 new, then in the box you will find the User Manual (if not, it is available from the Numark website - www.numark.com) which details how to use the NDX800 and it's features. It's also worth checking to see if you have the latest firmware - again visit the Numark website for details.
