Topic: Please help. Need tips on audio setup

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

I recently decided to start djing as a hobby and I am looking for as many tips as possible. Very open to any ideas and will accept any criticism. I purchased the mixtrack pro because it was highly recommended for entry and intermediate level DJing and I am very happy with my purchase due to the fact that I am a beginner. Anyway, once i get comfortable I plan on DJing for some friends. Something small like a few kick backs or small house parties. Now for a house party, what type of audio setup would I need (subs, amps, speakers?) Just looking for something with a decent quality and to keep the ladies movin. Please, your help would be greatly appreciated

It depends on your budget, I recently purchased a set of yamaha br12 speakers with a yamaha emx 62 amp. It's great for a starter system. I wish I had the money 2 add a sub to it but I will here soon.Get something that you can afford that sounds good 2 start with then upgrade when u can. As long as u have a good enough sound 2 rock the party hey do it.

Thanks I will look up them yamahas. Just need something to get me thru 30 to 40 people max and like u said I could always upgrade later. Appreciate it.

I would recommend looking at active speakers. Something like a Mackie SRM-450. The are a little pricey for the begining, but well worth it. Start with one, you can run in mono just fine for a small party. And search for used equipment to start, make sure you test it before you buy it.

Watch out for getting the biggest cheap speakers you can find, when you push them they will fail. Speakers similar to the Mackies have a lot of bass to get you thru until you can upgrade.

I love my SRM-450s. They are the bomb! May be a little too much for a house party though... I could see the Po Po shutting it down in a hurry.

But... better too much power than too little.

Sounds like them Mackie's are a hot product. Will have to look into thanks
