Topic: setting up a pc backup puter cant instal plugins

Hi a novice no a compleate nob when it comes to pc yes :-) unfortunatly im a pc numpty as im a mac man couldent afford to have another mac book sat there as a back up just encase not being used so plumped for a pc laptop running windows 7 aparently a 64bit machine running VDJ 7.3 installed by hitting typicl install not custom i found out as i turned on and cme to install security software

question is on a pc how do you instll plugins like video effects i know on a mac i have to pop them in the relavent file and wallah there they are but on the pc i cant even find the relevent files i tryed the good ol double click methd on the plug in and the sound plugins went in but cant seem to get teh video plug ins in it says software not installed

hope you pc guys can forgive and help a mac man

Thanks not come across because iv never had to use PC befor and started cursing and spitting at it like mac guy would will be on it like flin soon as i get back from this gig

glad you cort me befor i got back from teh gig :-) ok like i said a compleat pc numpty how do i put that in as a batch file and where do i put that in or where do i edit the registry entry to put teh reg key in

Just looked in regedit and my virtual dj folder is missing :-(
 
You can copy and paste the text into notepad and save it to your desktop as vdj_homefolder_fix.bat - it is the .bat part which is important. It should then let you run it and create the necessary parts.
