Im hoping fro quick response becuase it seems like it might be an easy fix.
Anyway in vdj7 I open my folder with all my music in it. I want to organize by the most recent tracks I downloaded in the folder but when i click the filedate button it does not respond and i cant organize my tracks that way. All the other organizers work fine (bpm, artist, song title etc.)
Has anyone had this bug and what can i do to fix it. I cant remember all the newest songs i download so i hate to go though and loook each one up if i think i want to put it in a new mix. :/
Is thier a smartfilter i can code to be like the exact same thing?
i appreciate the help if i recieve it.
:D

you should read the wiki it has heaps of useful information that you are probably unaware off. It's here: http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/FilterExamples.html
To answer your question if you just want to arrange a folder i would say use "first seen" just rightclick the browser filters, or for a filter folder you can use "isscanned=0" for files you have yet to scan into vdj, or "top 100 firstseen" for the last hundred songs you have added, or "days since firstseen<=30" for the last months tracks. you could say "days since firstseen>=30 and days since firstseen<=60" for the month prior, there is plenty of options...
hope this helps

Yes thank you. Ive tired first seen but they still come up out of order becuase most of htme were seen at the same time becuase i uploaded them from my external harddrive all at once.
They are still organized the way i want them in the windows folder though. I go by date modified in windows is thier anything in virual dj like that or is their anyway i can open up the folder in vdj and it says in the same order as it was in orginal folder?
sorry if that sounded confusing? haha

No I don't believe vdj has that option it will only go by when vdj saw the file not your when your computer did. You should request it in the wishes and new features forum
