Topic: Slow analyze speed from itunes

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

I just found out you can enable your itunes library in vdj, awesome since Itunes is where I can easily organize my large library. However the analyze/load speed takes about twice as long as if the song is not from the itunes library.

For example I can have an identical song, one copy on the desktop, another within itunes. When I load the track on the desktop it will load and analyze the track in roughly 10 seconds. When I load the exact same song from the Itunes library, it will take upwards of 25 seconds.

Any help appreciated

If you have never loaded or played the song before then it must be analysed for BPM, key, etc. the first time you load it, so will take longer.

The only other reason it would be slower is if the music on your desktop and in iTunes are on different hard drives and the one hard disk is faster than the other, e.g; Internal hard disk vs external USB hard disk, or 7200 RPM drive vs 5400 RPM drive.

We would recommend pre-analysing your music collection while you are at home. Please see http://www.virtualdj.com/homepage/jpboggis/blogs/3972/Pre-analysing_your_music_collection.html

I was also experiencing slow iTunes problem while producing backup of iPhone contacts, I waited for 10 hours but when this process was not helpful then I used third party iPhone transfer contacts to produce backup.
It worked you can try it
