I am just starting to DJ. I just bought all of my gear this past weekend and I am just staring to test everything out. I am a total n00b so please forgive any ignorance.
Here is what gear I have:
Numark Mixtrack Pro
MacBook Pro 2.26Ghz
2 Samson Auro 15" Speakers
I am running VirtualDJ LE. (Like many people because it came with the Numark Controller.)
From the controller I have an RCA to 1/4" cable running to my speaker.
When I have both RCAs (red and white) in output 1 (which is listed as the Master Mix) I have no vocals coming out of the speaker. Just instrumental.
If I plug the red into output 2 (which is the cue channel) and the white into output 1 I can get a full mix of both the vocals and backing but I lose complete control over volume and the mix between the two decks. Whatever is playing just plays at max volume.
Please help.
Thanks!

I got it guys. Don't worry. For anyone that may be curious, it was a cable problem. The cable I was running was going from stereo to mono and losing part of the frequency. I went into Sam Ash and they showed me the problem. I exchanged a couple of Cable and now I am good to go.
