Topic: Win 7+VDJ 7+Rane mp4= Static sound in music

I Have 3 laptops running this setup 2 work fine.....but 1 (my main most powerful laptop) is having issues. This laptop had worked flawlessly for the past 2+ years with vista and earlier versions of VDJ, I then upgraded it to win 7 and VDJ 7 and now It has a constant static sound only when the music is playing, with an occasional pop. Another problem with it is when I try to close VDJ it freezes and take VDJ about 1 min to close.

Things I've tried,
Latency checker (I now run consistently in the green)
Driver updates
everything on this list http://www.virtualdj.com/homepage/jpboggis/blogs/4094/Common_performance_issues_and_solutions.html
Virus free
all new cables
Reinstalled VDJ
and Probably a few other things I have for got

Any help or suggestions would be very appreciated!

I would say you need to increase your latency setting... When I upgraded to Win 7 from XP I had to go from a latency of 11 to 15 to make my system run smooth and crackle free.

Not sure if this is your problem but it worked for me

I have tried all the different Latency settings and know change.
 
Are you changing the latency in Virtual Dj or in your soundcard? You need to change it in the soundcard. Your card should have some asio settings

I think i have fixed the problem I had used an upgrade to win 7 originally now I have wiped it clean and installed a full version and seems to be working fine.
