Hi,
Can someone please tell me why the Sampler records the samples at a lower volume than the actual volume of the sample itself?
Regards
Logan

Maybe the volume levels in the software (deck playing levels), not sure if the volume levels in the sample channel would effect recording, but it can't hurt to try and see....
Do a prelisten to the file using the headphones, the file may be low.
Good Luck,

I think the sampler records at the actual level of the input, that means before vdj sets it at 0db, probably the best way around this is to first try and turn the sample volume up all the way when it is playing, or open it in a DAW like audition and adjust the level manually.

Make also sure that the sampler bank's volume you select to record, is set to maximum value 100%

Is it actually recording lower, or is it playing back lower?

Thanks..
Are you guys saying that you did not experience this?
I am recording in from Deck 1 at 100% volume (not touching the Gain Knob which is set at default 50%). I use skin Mix Lab V3.1.
Also the sampler volume is at 100% too (though this does not have any effect on recording, I believe this is for the sampler volume output and not input).
I should play with the Gain Knob I suppose.
What baffles me though is that what I am hearing while recording is not what is being recorded as a sample.

That is because you are hearing the amplified output, not the actual input of the signal...
In my previous post I did mention to raise the volume on the software output levels to overcome the low file output gain....
Good Luck,
Joey....
