Topic: iRemote for iPad2 and Macbook Pro

I have searched the forums but not found yet the answers to the following questions. This iRemote sounds exciting and a great technological advancement in Dj'ing!

I have the latest VDJ Pro (7.0.4) for my Macbook Pro running the latest OSX. I have an iPad2 coming in a few weeks. Does/Will the iRemote program from iTunes work with the new iPad2? Can I setup a private or local network (between my iPad2 and Macbook Pro) at a gig where there is NO internet so that I may use the iPad2 as a remote for VDJ Pro with my Macbook Pro? If so, would someone kindly walk me through the setup process? I did not see anything in the forums nor in Wiki. I found some info for PC and windows but not Mac. What will I actually be able to do (full features) using my iPad2 with iRemote and VDJ Pro?

Yes it works, I have it on my Ipad2 currently.

Go to network in top right and click "Create Network". Enter your information on pop up screen and you are set. This is SO EASY on MAC!!!
 
If anyone uses Windows then there's a free program called connectify that does the same thing and it's very good.

Keith, is that only Win7 compartible? I also noticed limited wifi cards/devices support.
 
Mack knew it had to be easy on a MAC.......... but Mack just wanted to be prepared for HOW easy it would be (I've been known to make it harder than it really is). LOL

Now, can you walk out on the dancefloor with your Ipad2 and remote control your VDJ PRO, etc? If so.....What can you do and what can't you do with the Iremote and Ipad2?
