Hi there,
I have try to test my old stantons finalscratch 2 amp with timecodes to a friend VDJ 7. everything working properly except a very important thing, the KEY Lock. I have try several configurations but i did not find the ideal solution. When you use the Key lock option on VDJ and change the pitch on pioneer CDJ-1000 it seems that is working somehow good but if you try to correct the pitch while mixing on CDJ with the JOG the KEY seems that is not locked and you hear the sound like change a vinyl speed. Anybody have any idea regarding this issue?
Thanks in advance

Its called Mastertempo - thats what I think you are talking about. You have to change the tempo in the settings box in the actual software. It wont work on your decks it will give a horrible screeching.
VD7 has fixed this and offers some options in the programme itself.

HI,
yes i know that is called Master Tempo but you cannot you the master tempo on the CDJ but you have to select the Keylock on the VDJ. But the problem is as i told in my post. It works fine when you change the pitch slider but in case that you want to sync the 2 songs from the CDJ and use the JOG to bend the pitch the sound it glitches and changing the key like when you do not have the keylock active.

go to the performances tab in config and make sure you don't have "pure scratch" selected, if you do the master tempo doesn't work

i have try all 3 options in this configuration and the issue is still there.

I have the exact same problems with VDJ 7 and CDJ 400. I have the keylock enabled in VDJ and on CDJ but when I touch the side on of the jogwheel to change the speed it makes the sound as if the keylock is disabled. Works fine with pitch slider.

So there is no solution? do you also use finalscratch?

No, I use only CDJ 400 and VDJ

Please if anybody can advice on this i will apriciate it as i am about to decide my next movement. Scratchamp is a very good sound cart and untill now i did not manage to work with any software and timecodes but VDJ7 seems that is working good except the above issue. I believe that there is a solution but i did not risk to purchase the software and then found that finally there is no solution.
Thanks
Thanks

There are plenty of registered users on here that use CDJ, and I am sure they are not having this problem. If they are, this is the first I have heard of it. What version of the software are you using, and is it a legitimate version? Controllers and time code work with the pro version.

hi, as i mentioned above i try the software of my friend which is official legal version before purchase my own and it is the pro 7.0.4 version. he is using it with controller so he did not face my issue but unfortunately i found this issue. so if anybody can help me to clear this i will apriciate it

Same advice... the only other thing it could be is that you dont have key lock enabled... It's the lock near the pitch fader
again
make sure you don't have "pure scratch" selected

key lock is active as i want to have the same key and i do not use the pure scratc. i have try all options

my friend is working with controller and not timecodes. i am planning to use it with timecodes so cannot compare to my friend system. i just use his laptop and connect my scratchamp to test it with timecodes

Ok if your using the cdj 400's why are you wasting your time with timecodes??
Or am I missing something here??
