I just purchased a Mixtrack Pro and I can get the VDJ LE & V6 pro versions to work fine on XP 32 bit, but with VDJ V7.0 or higher the Mixtrack Pro produces piano key sounds on the master outputs everytime the sync button or other buttons flash. My other midi devices Hercules RMX, Numark V7, Behringer BCD2000, Numark NS6 work fine on this machine with VDJ V7.0.4, but the Mixtrack pro doesnt??? The Mixtrack works fine on my Windows 7 64bit desktop with VDJ V7.0.4. Could someone please help me out?? Thanx

when you say piano key, do you mean its producing a tone to the flash of the button? or is it producing a different key tone each time it flashes? have you tried a different latency setting to that which you use for your behringer and your herc? it honestly sounds like a major malfunction of the mixtrack for it to be producing any sort of sound at all when the buttons flash.
i would consider contacting numark as this isnt a problem ive ever heard of before. and i seriously doubt anyne else has either.

YES. Its strange to me also. The unit function perfectly on windows 7/64bit, Vista/32bit & on W7/32bit on my Acer laptop & HP desktop, but it will only run correctly on my Gateway Laptop xp/32bit with VDJ V6 pro or LE. It runs on the same Gateway laptop with W7/32 bit & Vista/32 bit. My laptops are setup as triple boot/ OS's XP,Vista,W7. Someone suggested it may be the windows synth sounds that the XP OS??

Update your XP Os system.
check the Device Manager. How is Mixtrack displayed ?
Check the Config->Mappers tab of Virtualdj. Click the drop down list, and see if Mixtrack is available as choice.

another thought just, hav you updated your soundcard drivers? maybe the drivers are not quite up to v7 standards.

I will check the device manager to see how the Mixtrack is displayed. I will also check to see if I have the latest XP updates. The funny thing is , is that I can currently run music vidz & audio with VDJ V7.0.4 with my Numark V7's & my Herc RMX or my Behringer BCD2000 on this XP OS with no problem. VDJ V7 does see the Mixtrack as a midi device? Also do I need to update my sound card drivers if Im using the Mixtrack Pros sound card?

There are no specific drivers for the Mixtrack Pro (sound card or midi), this is why its usually an OS issue.

hence why i suggested updating the soundcard drivers, not the mixtrack drivers...soundcard as in laptop soundcard.
although now i think about it, if your using the mixtracks soundcard then the computer would be obsolete...
id deffo call numark

Hey guys I figured it out with your help. The OS was outputing its SW SYNTH Sounds through the the Mixtrack Pros output. I went into the XP's/OS mixer and muted the SW SYNTH OUTPUT and its working correctly. Its stranged though how I did not have to mute the SW SYNTH OUTPUT with VDJ V6.1.2 or VDJ LE or any of my other midi devices with any other version of VDJ??? Thanx for your help. I am going to use the Mixtrack Pro until I get the NS6. The device manager saw the MIxtrack as an AUDIO USB DEVICE.

wow, thats wierd. the os playing synths via any output without command it just strange, im glad you got it sorted though.
