Hey ive been using virtual dj for quite some time but havent ever recorded anything. i just recently purchased a numark mixdeck and now trying to record there is a serious issue. when i record it records both sides as if the crossfader doesnt work.
Sorry if my explanation is not the best i am not very knowledgeable in this field.
Thanks for your time, i hope this is just a noob mistake so i can get on with my mixing :)

You need to buy another soundcard.

okay not really what i wanted to hear that kind of sucks! so if i buy a soundcard and hook it up it will record okay? i dont understand how that would work when the programs crossfader doesnt move, does this not have anything to do with the fact?

This is because the MixDeck has a real hardware audio mixer (To allow mixing from the CD players, etc.) rather than a software-based MIDI mixer.
