Topic: Karaoke Filter Question

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

First off I hate to start another filter folder question but I also do Karaoke sometimes and have all my karaoke on an external HD. I have BPM filter folders now but the problem is when I dj after the singers when I search my 120 - 130 BPM folder or any of them it includes my karaoke songs is there a way to make it so that it will give me videos and audio with no karaoke songs to be shown.

Simple, to the right of the search bar select the eye icon, and untick karaoke... reverse when you want to see them again.

Or you could just map a button on your keyboard aswell ;-)

view_options : popup the list of view options. to set one directly, you can use 'view_options "showkaraoke" on' etc...

This will still be a problem if you have,
Audio karaoke/instrumental or m4v, mov, mp4, mpg, vob, and wmv Karaoke files, and I have thousands of them..

I have suggested the idea of putting in some "Show Genre" types, enabling us to exclude what we don't want to show, if not needed....this will solve this problem..

Please team, make this happen....

Thanks,

Joey.....

The software can not tell if a video file is a Karaoke file too.
But you can use the 2 new empty field1 and field2 database fields and create a type of your own.
Of course you will have to do that manually, one by one the files you have.

if the karaoke files are all in the same filepath you can use

filepath does not contain filepath/to/track

genre does not contain "karaoke"

The "Genre" that contains "Karaoke" will be excuded from the search, and all folders throughout, just like in the exclude media types like we have now, even if you need to "add to db search" any folders while on a gig, no problems, this would definitely help keep the clutter under your control.....

Hope this could be done...

Thanks,

Joey...

Try doing this in iTunes and external drives, subfolders, ect.... I'm getting tired just thinking about it....

Or like Djdad said use "Field 1" & "Field 2". Put all your Karaoke files into 1 folder open up the file info window, put Karaoke in one of the fields and then click apply all. It'll put the name in all the files then make your filter folder or whatever it is you wanna do.....

Good Luck

I can do this very easily, but what advantage will this give me in excluding them from a seach and folders.

How do you exclude Field #2 that contains "Karaoke" from a search and folders?

Just Asking?
