Hey everybody.
So someone stole all of my gear out of my car last night. (i know, i KNOW, i shouldnt have left in in there).
Regardless, its gone, and I did not right down the serial number off of the actual mixtrack pro.
I was wondering if the serial i used to activate my light edition of virtual DJ is the same serial for my actual hardware (the Numark Mixtrack Pro)?
If it is, I can report it to the police. Then if it shows up somewhere it will come up as stolen.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I'm monitoring the expected methods of resale (craigslist, pawn shops, etc...)

You would probably have to contact Numark, they would possibly be able to tie the VDJ disc serial to the actual unit.
Other option is that the unit serial number may be on the box the mixtrack came in.

aww man, sorry to hear that. my house was robbed a few years ago and they took everything worth anything. i didnt even have insurance. its not a nice feeling when you loose everything.

Well, moderately good news!
The barcode on the outside of the box is the exact serial number that is on the device itself.
I have reported it to the police. Now comes the worst part of this whole ordeal, waiting!

So this doesn't work.

yeah this definitly doesnt work, i just got my mixtrack pro today and i had ordered it yesterday. as it happens my purchase coinsides with the one that was stolen. except im in the uk and mines all legit.
