I cannot for the life of me figure out how to configure the software so that i can prelisten on headphones and then play on speakers.
IDJ3 has a front headphone jack and a rear red and white which are going to an external speaker system (not hooked up to pc)
right now i can either have 1 deck play in the headphones and one on the speakers or both on the speakers but can't do both at the same time. if i mess with the settings and get one deck to play on headphones it will no longer play on speakers.
I figure its either stupidity or a configuration thing, likely both.
Can anyone suggest what I might be doing wrong and how to fix it?
Current settings:
no inputs,
output is an external mixer left deck 1&2 right deck 3&4
sound card is numark
please note i do have a 5.1 card in my pc if that helps with solutions although in my current setup it is unused.

Nevermind, it was a combination of old software, incorrect setup and user ineptitude.
