Hi
I stupidly left my headphone adaptor plugged into my RMX console and packed it away in the bag. I must have put the bag down too heavily and with the adaptor in it has pushed in the socket. I stripped it down and the socket itself has bust. I am good with electronics and have de-soldered the busted socket, but need a replacement one. I guess I could 'rob' the MIC socket from the front, but would rather replace. I contacted Hercules with no joy. Can anyone advise where I could get a replacement part please?
Cheers

Is it really that serious?
If it is works then you should be kewl then.
Otherwise what did they say when you called Hercules? More than likely they won't fix that because that is damage done by you.
On the flipside look at it this way, I've replace my RMX twice and to go through all the trouble to replace it is not worth it. you are looking at 3 weeks to a month without your machine. Unles it doesn't work I wouldn't sweat it.

Any electronics shop or if you have a Maplins branch go in there and see if they have a suitable replacement or something you can adapt.

MCM Electronics, Parts Express, Mouser or Digikey
One of them should have the parts you need. I might start with Parts Express, they are the most consumer friendly to navigate. The others get real tecnical, real fast. Good luck
PM me if you hit a dead end. I may be able to dig up some more sites.
