Hi, so I was wondering if its possible to use my Numark CDX as a controller in VirtualDJ; similar to how the V7 is used. I'm only asking this: 1) because i have the CDX and cant afford a brand new V7 [it aint easy finding $700 to get a V7 in Canada] 2) because there's a video of it being done [with Traktor though] except its in spanish and 3) my mixtrack doesnt give me all the controll i need.

I cant see any real benefit in operation over using a timecode cd (except for the cd players in the CDX being hideously unreliable so if you make that cd player redundant, then it wouldnt be a bad unit). Unfortunately the other midi implementation on the CDX is non existant so doesn't have any way to map those other buttons. Also couldnt use built in effects, etc as with timecode.
Seems like quite a bit of work, but if you especially want a 12" spinning platter for midi control, this is actually pretty clever.
