Sorry for the VERY noobish mapping question but I cant seem to get this right and ive been trying everything to get it working.
All I require is to be able to map the EQ to the keyboard.
Lets say I want to map Z key to reduce the level on the left deck eq_low and the X button to raise the eq_low. Potentially I would need 6 keys per deck to control them.
An even better option would be just to have 6 keys that would work both decks depending on what deck is selected if that is even possible?
All help is appriciated and im sure once I get my head around this im sure I can get to grips with it.
I used to mix about 7-8 years ago but got rid of all my kit once I had my daughter and now down the line I fancy getting a basic USB controller to have some fun with.
All the features that are missing really on the very cheap Numark USB2go is proper EQ controls. If I can get them mapped to the KB that would be fine for now. until I can get some serious kit.

you can do all of that...
to start, you can set it to work on the deck in pfl (pre fade listening) by using "deck default" when you are assigning the keys, next you need to set it to perform the action on something within vdj eg. eq_low, finally you need to set an amount that modifies the position of the thing you are changing eg "+1"
so when you put it together it will be
X) deck default eq_low +1
Z) deck default eq_low -1
but I made a eq undermix crossfader for a keyboard, but I'll see if I can modify it for a slider
here you go,,, Its a little lopsided because I needed one more position, but this still works, paste it into the crossfader
