i have been having problems in mixing music produced manually using instruments. the bpm's are not are not evenly distributed which makes beat-locking of two songs hard for me. anybody out there who might know the trick?

Yeah, learn to beatmix without the use of software. That's the real difference between being a DJ and just playing one on TV.
