I am BRAND NEW to the MAC world and need some help ....
I have a month old MAC book pro
15-inch: 2.0 GHz 2.0GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 4GB 1333MHz 500GB 5400-rpm 1 Intel HD Graphics 3000 AMD Radeon HD 6490M with 256MB GDDR5
Running VDJ pro 7.x
While playing music I get some pops and split second pauses when doing searches or queing up new tracks .... I believe my issue is background process and extra programs..... Unnecessary software running in the background. Make sure that you do not have other unnecessary applications open at the same time as VirtualDJ that may be using excessive system resources.
So my question is does anyone know how I optimize my MAC book pro. Or can you point me to anything that explains how I can turn off all the back ground stuff I don't need?
Thanks.

i had some odd problems with clicks too -- ended up being my network trying to connect. so make sure your wifi is off if it is not connected to anything.
