Thank you for your help in advance:
I have had Virtual DJ on my PC Laptop for about a year. It (the laptop) has started to become suspect and unreliable...I recently got a MacBook Pro and want to install VDJ on it but I like all the effects for my PC laptop.
Here is my dilemma/question:
Can i keep my origianl licensed copy of VDJ on my 'suspect' (original laptop) computer and boot camp my new Mac and have it installed on the Mac side and the PC side? That would be 3 installs, but on 2 computers?
Thanks,
Steve

The EULA states you can install VDJ on two computers, one primary and one backup.
Doing things the way you describe would possibly be infringing the licence agreement although personally I don't see a problem as you can't run both the Mac and windows versions together on your Macbook.
Maybe a teamer can offer more advice as the EULA doesn't mention anything about two installs on the same machine!

The EULA is a little vague but it would seem that the only restriction is 2 physical machines as long as one is a backup- no limit on the number OS installs per machine.
I know when I switch machines it makes me re-login, I suppose tom make sure that the main and backup are not being used to gig with at the same time.

Thank you for the quick responses... just so i have this right, before i uninstall and/or install on any of my machines:
I can not have VDJ on my PC laptop and on my boot camped Mac unless i decide which platform I want to run it on; but not both (on my Mac)...
I only ask because i can survive with it now on my origianl laptop but I read different views on 'straight' Mac or on Windows platform on a Mac...I read in a post that someone has it on both platforms on their Mac for a back-up. That is good but i need it on 2 machines for a literal back-up in case my actual machine shuts down on me...
Thanx

I would run the Windows version on your Macbook Pro (Win 7 or XP 32bit)
I had ran VDJ that way for several months before selling the Macbook Pro and it works really well. Also bear in mind Bootcamped Windows and MacOSX have different file systems so it's a pain to get both reading / writing to each other and updating songs, databases, playlists etc. It is possible to get VDJ running on Windows + Mac on the same machine but it takes a lot of setting up for no great advantage. Better to choose one operating system or the other.
I have never had VDJ ever crash on me with either version on a multitude of PC's so if set up properly you will have no problems.
Most people just use an iPod, iPad or portable MP3 player as a quick backup instead of lugging another PC around.
