I have a giant virtual crate with about 2500 files in it, that I'm trying to sort into other virtual crates.

Spent about 90 minutes holding down Ctrl and selecting files to drag into another virtual crate. FINALLY I got to the bottom of the list. Dragged it over to the left when I realized the left panel needed to be scrolled down in order to see the crate I wanted to drag to. So I released the drag over nothing so I could use the mouse to scroll.

POOF

All my selections were gone.

AFDKSJKLDSKLFJDSJFKLJSAKLJFLKDSJFLDJSLKGJKJALFJDLKJLKSDJFLKJSAKLJSDLKFJDSLKFDSfds.

This is not standard windows behavior. SO frustrating.

Oh, and another frustration. After they're dragged into a crate, the selection is ALSO lost, so I can't REMOVE the selection from the old crate.

The VDJ browser leaves MUCH to be desired. My one complaint about this otherwise WONDERFUL software.

here is a work around I just thought of...

-create a virtual folder

-map 'virtualfolder_add "my_vfolder" to you keyboard

place all the songs you want in the virtual folder, then when finished you just need to highlight everything and move it to a real folder, the benifit of this method is you could sort many different sub genres quickly and easily eg

electro
-hard
-dirty
-dutch
-commercial
-chill

'virtualfolder_add "electro-hard" etc...
 
Maybe the Browser ZOOM might work too.
