Thinking of picking one of these up....

Anyone ever used one of these? My biggest concern is that it looks like it could tip over if you lean into your gear. Any experiences?
Thanks in advance.

I'm using one of these but even slimmer to hold my coffin flightcase. Actually it's an old keyboard stand
The flightcase is alu/lightweight, so that may be why it works fine - and I don't lean into it :-)

I wouldn't want to risk putting my main playout coffin on that.
I do use one for a 'side table' though.
I take the lid off my coffin case and sit it on top of the X stand to create a table which goes
at the side of my main booth stand, and has my laptop and sundry items on it.
My main stand/booth is a Deck Stand Booth Pro by Advanced Event Designs.

Have you guys found that they're sturdy? Basically I just want to put a Numark NS7 + a laptop on there. And I'm not so much worried about ME leaning into my gear as I am OTHER PEOPLE, lol. :)

Well I'm comfortable with it, but I guess I wouldn't so much recommend it to anyone else
First of all my coffin is pretty light, and I'l be able to catch it and hold it for a few minutes if anything happens. Secondly I play mostly for older crowds who tend to behave them self around me and the gear
But the stand I had when I was 18 (back in the mid 90's) was build like a tank, so I understand perfectly where you are comming from :-)

This is my favorite stand....

I've had the one like u pictured & it was a oddysey but I didn't like the build quality it started bending just from normal transport...

Our keyboard player in my group uses something like this, http://aboutmusic.co/2011/08/ultimate-support-ax-90p-apex-column-keyboard-stand/
I've never seen it once coming close to tipping over and the dude Jams!! It's made out of aluminum and is solid as hell, check em out might be what you want.
Happy Hunting

Thanks guys, food for thought. I'll post back here after I've made a purchase and tested.

I realize you\'ve made you purchase......
But here is what I use (thanks to seeing it on here)
http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/browse/6/Tools/Ladders/Ladders/PRD~0611009P/Mini+Scaffold.jsp?locale=en
Here is a pic of it in use:
Coffin slide's in the top rungs of the ladders,
Coffin lid hold the curtain up and the lighting goes up around it.
Best part about the scaffold is it can transport a load of 500lbs, So I load it up, wheel it into a gig, set up, then load up and roll out.
This was by far one of the Best Suggestions I've seen on the VDJ boards.
