Topic: Why does it do this?

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

I've been using Virtual DJ for a while now, but there's something I've never understood with some tracks which get loaded on to a deck. Sometimes when I load a track, it only loads a little bit of the track and does not display the digital audio on the track bar either. What could be happening with this? And is there any settings I need to adjust to fix the problem? I'm thinking it could be possible that my computer performance is the cause of this.

I don't know if you can see the picture, but here's a print screen I took. Thank you.

It's because your track is an hour long.......the song is to long to load in the memory so it'll load as the song plays.

Good Luck

Thank you for your answer. But the realism is, they tracks aren't around 1 hour longer even though Virtual DJ is seeing it, as though they are.

Ok its not an hour its 56 minutes, either way its longer then what you have your option set and I doubt you can load an hour long song unless you have like 8 gig of RAM.....

Well that's my point, they're not long tracks.

Tell us how long it actually is!

What is your setting under "Don't pre-load files bigger than:"? (Config/performances/memory).

Also, from that screen grab it looks like your skin is the wrong size for the screen.

While this does not address your issue, it looks like you might have VDJ resized or maximized to fit your screen. I see your CPU is ramped up.

On slower machines, resizing VDJ is not such a good idea and best not to stretch VDJ but use the standard skin size and select a skin that best matches your screen without stretching it. Streching the skin on one of my machines has a pretty negative effect on performance.

The song is about 6 minutes long. The Pre-load was set at around 15... but I keep changing it.

Yeah, I think the official reason is my computer, being too slow, screen sucks ****! And the performance does too!

Just to let you know, I'd never even encourage to use my crappy computer for job use, just for practice...

If it's a variable bit rate file, then the correct length will not be known until the song has been loaded and analysed in full.

So, VirtualDJ may think that the song is longer than the Don't pre-load songs bigger than setting, even though in reality it's not.

To avoid this, you should pre-analyse your music collection - Please see http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/Pre-Analysing%20Your%20Music%20Collection.html

Another possibility is the song is corrupted. Make sure that you use songs purchased from legitimate sources or ripped properly from the original CDs.
