And realized VDJ can do pretty much all of those effects, just as shown! Hope this software keeps getting better. Although it looks cool to be fiddling with tons of knobs and buttons while doing your set live, I don't see the point when you can automate many of these effects through VDJ by pushing one or two buttons max.

I havn't seen the video yet but vdj is really close and in many ways can exceed the efx 1000, using Duen - Duen, Tex_ZK'x, macourteau, chackl and djcels plugins.
But the interface on the efx 1000 is so intuative and easy to use, if I was to attempt to create a midi controller, I would replicate the layout of that, maybe with a couple of hacked up dicers thrown in for tri coloured leds for more options on how it could be utilised without relying on the screen for feedback
