Hi everyone
Well even though I grew up a PC man and hated Mac, I am coming full circle, gone from the iPhone to iPad and now just bought a MacBook Pro.
MacBook Pro 2.0GHz quad-core Intel i7
Originally released February 2011
15.4-inch (diagonal) LED-backlit glossy widescreen display, 1440-by-900 resolution
4GB (2 x 2GB) of 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM
500GB Serial ATA @ 5400 rpm
8x double-layer SuperDrive (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)
Intel HD Graphics 3000 and AMD Radeon HD 6490M
From what I have read, it should not be a problem running VDJ
I have been fooling around a bit with this software on my PC laptop and it is good with a few quirks.
The first software I ever used was PCDJ, for many years have been using OTS DJ.
I'm basically coming out of retirement as I DJ'ed over 25 yrs, now I can just show up with my laptop and controller.
Now I will be installing LION when I receive it as a free upgrade, and was wondering if there is anything I should make sure of before I install VDJ.
Also I am doing a large xmas party and they want me to set-up a projector for some sort of slide show
After their slideshow I was wondering if there is a way to project album covers from my music collection, I know how to display song title, but have not found a way to display album covers.
Also what is the best method to bring my music collection from my PC Laptop to my MacBook that it includes all information (Playlists, album covers)
Thanks

It's been a year for me in Dec-2011 and my Mac/with/VDj-Pro Run like a +1.4 years before that it was PCDJ Blue & a IBM/Getway PC laptop.VDj with a controller and sound card has HELP a lot of Dj's come out of retirement for the love of DJin. Your music collection will be Ez,but your playlists ?

I have been creating playlists in iTunes that I can access in VDJ on my PC, I want to be able to export all these playlists to my MBP when I receive it.
I have a large collection of 7k songs on my PC, which is getting smaller everyday as I am getting rid of a lot of songs I will never play, but will keep them on my iPod just in case someone actually asks to hear it, or I can just download it.
I also have about 1K more CD's that I need to convert, but there is probably only a couple thousands songs that I will need from that.
It is a long process cleaning up my music collection, I have been working on it for a 2-3 hours a day for about 2 weeks and I am still only at the letter D.
Mind you I am entering all the info and covers for everysong I have as iTunes is not great at it
I am also finding a lot of mistakes in my collection (mislabled songs and artists)
One question I would like to know is can you project album covers with VDJ?
Thanks
