hey guys, i need soe advice on the alesis io26, is it possible for me to hook up my timecode vinyl via this unit????

Just had a quick look, the tech specs don't state it as a "sound card" and then even if it was how many channels. Remember you need in/out so the sound can be routed.
Any reason why you want to use this? Do you already have one? If ot, why not buy a MAYA 44 or something equivalent that is made for the job...
I see the firewire inputs on the back (no usb) but are they inputs or outputs?

hi gadget, the io26 is and in/out audio interface which uses firewire to connect to the laptop. it works with cubase etc so im assuming it can be used with vdj also.
the reason i sak is because ive been offered one at a bargain price, which is going to be a lot more worth it for the price i will be paying asopposed to the maya44.
im having the notion that the io26 is 2 in 6 out.. hence io (in/out) 26 (2in 6out)
however it has a lot of 6.5mm jack inputs wich i assume are stereo... i did find this other site

which says its an 8in/8out audio interface, which means there is enough there to connect my TT's and more, but im not 100% on if the 6.5mm jacks are stereo or mono.
