Our upgrade policy has not changed as of today. So, upgrades at this time are still FREE.

THANK U!!!

I looked at that article from a different prospective, this is unfortunately the usual path some people take when they feel threaten by a superior product, they love to Hate..., So Keep Up the Good Workings going-ing...

I run into this type of love quite often, But it just makes me smile & glow with pride I can cause so much attention...

My friend found out I was a DJ and started off by saying Virtual DJ is a crappy program, it's free, and it has Automix. He said he tried other programs that were for "real" DJs. He does not know I use Virtual DJ. I just thought to myself how I never used Automix at a gig and for not being a "real" DJ (according to him) I manage to keep large crowds dancing all night. I've used other programs, but Virtual DJ has something extra. I can't wait until VDJ 8 is released.

A lot of people say that and I don't even know why... I just know that the older versions of VirtualDJ (ver. 3.x/4.x) were not as good as now (I don't know, I read this somewhere). But NOW, at THIS MOMENT, this software has really grown up... I don't understand those haters who say some complete bull shit about VDJ...

Same thing for me, buddy. I was a (very) young DJ, I needed a software. I discovered MixVibes and VirtualDJ. Even though MixVibes has some clear EQs, VirtualDJ is way more complete than MixVibes. And it is more easier to use VDJ than Traktor or Serato Itch... A very nice point.

Same here ;p But we have to wait. I don't want a buggy VDJ8. I want a clear brand new VDJ ! We waited for the v7, now we can wait for way more features ! :D

Just curious, I was a user of Vinyl initially, then it was transferred to Cue. With this merger will Cue be transferred to Virtual, or do we get left behind at 7.0.5?

VDJ7 has served me well and I look forward to VDJ8's release assured in the knowledge that it will not be released until its fully tested and ready this is after all a high value professional program.

I take it that the DMC2 controller will be supported in VDJ8 as this controller built for VDJ has served me well?

Cheers Team and all the best ................ Dave

as usual vdj team getting bigger and stronger..cant wait to use vdj 8...just getting used to using vdj lol more posts to come looking for help

I'm having so much fun learning all the in's and outs of VDJ, since I switched from PCDJ, and now you are combining forces in development of VDJ 8! There are things that I love about both platforms, and to have them all in one complete package is a professional DJ's dream come true! I've been a Club DJ way back when we had to wheel in 2 coffins of Vinyl to do our jobs! Lovin it VDJ and all of the features... so THANKS VDJ!! My only regret is, that I waited this long to get it!

Out of interest, anyone have any views on what Adionsoft's products do better than VDJs?

I'm now off to take a look at PCDJ etc... and see if there are any demos or online videos...

dj decks pretty much has everything everyone has been requesting of vdj, however its interface and mapping, skinning are more code based than vdj, although they are far more powerful in what they can do in comparison..

Obviously you have no release date for VDJ8, but could you give us an idea? I only asking that you say something like q3 2012, or q1 2013 if its gonna take that long to write the program over again from the start.

I'm afraid that will never even be hinted at, we all have to be patient until it is presented to us, "it's done when it's done" so be patient little grasshoppers...

I'm now taking bets on how many times this will be requested before the actual release date... lol.

I have the answer: qX 201X :P
As Tayla said, "it's done when it's done"...
It might be sooner, it might be later!

In the past a lot of updates have happened just before or on the christmas holiday period, thats not to say it will be the same with this release.

"When it's done it's done" is what I'm sticking with.

I understood from the start that Adion was now with Atomix - their announcement was clear.

What I couldn't understand was why PCDJ hadn't mentioned anything about Adion leaving on their website or forum.

I emailed Ryan Sherr and he explained that Adion had left some time ago.

PCDJs statement explains further, that due to the above they had to call on Joe Vangieri to help them out.

This is where the new PCDJ versions come in.

Some people though, must have been under the impression that PCDJ had been bought by another company, which is why PCDJ issued the statement.

Perhaps if PCDJ had done that in the first place, no one would have got confused!

HAPPY GOBBLE GOBBLE PPL

VDJ has bought out PCDJ among other softwares, I think that s right? yes?

Well PCDJ have a software called karaoki, will there be new karaoki features in vdj 8 then? a karaoki tab would be nice that took you straight to a new skin that was dedicated to karaoke.
