Topic: I have tried everything.(No Sound from Headphones)

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

Okay so I posted in the forum a while ago with my problem and got it temporarily fixed by one of your wonderful tech support guys. I was really happy about it for a while, but then the next time I fired up the program, back to the drawing board I'm afraid. Since tech support is closed on the weekends (I find that very annoying) I have come here for help yet again. I have tried every bloody thing I could to get the sound coming out of my headphones, and to no avail. I tried all of the guides, checked every post in the forum, and reconfigured my setup about a hundred times. It's not a hardware problem, and I can't seem to get it to work. I have a Gemini CNTRL-7 and I am getting no sound from my Headphones. Last time, when the tech support guy managed to get it to work, I have no idea how he did it, and can't seem to reproduce the effect. Don't tell me to go to your faq or any of the other guides you have already put up, I've tried them all. Can someone please help me?

it would help if you posted screenshots so we can see your settings, there is no way to help you without knowing your setup.

on the "sound setup" page, just choose the asio in the last box on the left, and the ctrl 7 just right of that, not sure why you are using dual cards when there is a soudcard built into the controller...

this is what my settings look like

I have to in order to hear the sound from my computer speakers as well as my headphones. I have a laptop, so I need to be able to hear the two songs mixed together as a main output, and then use my headphones for cueing. If I just do the CNTRL-7 I can't hear the two songs as they would be out on the dance floor. And I don't have that option. I'll show you.

It wants me to either use my computer sound card, or two sound cards

what soundcard options do you get in the last box on the right? when you choose 4.1 for the soundcard?

you should probably download asio4all as well

it doesn't work using the two card option, just go into advanced config and set it up, this works fine on my system, if it doesn't work I don't know what will

Can't see how to get into advanced config, there is no button for it.

its there, have a play around on that screen, there is only 5 possible boxes to choose from...

Well I guess I'm screwed cause I swear to god it's not there. I guess I'm just going to have to deal with this.

seriously dude open your eyes, its in 2 of the 5 boxes, i checked and it is in two of your photos, im going to sit this out and alllow you to teach yourself something...

good luck

However, the sound is muted, and no matter how much I turn up the volume, it doesn't help.

Hi Alix, first you have to select the Sound card option before getting into the advance config if your soundcard does not a support to more than 4-channel you cant view the Advance Config. Better to have ASIO driver or any soundcard that suppors multi-channel. All the solution have been already posted up try to tweak all the possibilities. If you are using the VDJ-LE you can't have the advance config option it is lock that is very basic setup you can upgrade to VDJ-PRO.

And thank you for the advice. I just can't seem to get it to work.

Looking at this device there is a cue a/b and mixer knob on the front of it, make sure you are selecting the proper cue and keep the mix knob in the middle.
To set up the pre fade listen or PFL, click config/options/ headphones and select "always"
This will switch the listen channel automatically when you load a deck.

Sound set up should be like this:

Click config/sound and in the top box select none, second select phones and speaker, and in the third box select 4.1 sound.
Below that find and select Gemini and assign the channels 1/2 as main/front/speakers and 3/4 rear/monitor/ phone

Had the SAME issues, but got it to work flawlessly on a Windows XP regular system, both channels and headphones too, send me a PM and I will hook it up for you.

Charles.
