So, I've been Djing for a few months now with a Hercules RMX. Overall I'm really happy with the controller, but I'm looking into getting a mini MIDI to dedicate to loop rolls and samples. Do you guys have any suggestions for hardware?

I'm working on a mapper for the icon istage, to go with duen duen's yet to be released slicer plugin, his beatmasher and various other effects, it wouldn't be a problem to include samples in it
it has a few different modes for production, but unfortunately cannot be used for vdj, only the setting I have it on, there is an endless encoder and on a different setting you have access to 24 virtual absolute sliders.
One setback of the unit though, is it is very bright, almost to the point where you dont want to look at it for an extended period
there is still bugs to be worked out but this is the general idea of it

Please bear in mind that you will need to upgrade to the full VirtualDJ Professional to be able to use any other MIDI controllers.
Your Console Edition version only supports using the Hercules RMX.

All I can say is take the time to play around with some other controllers at your local music store. I rushed into buying an extra controller thinking I needed to map all these extra things. While its nice, I wish I waited and invested in something higher end because I already feel I want more.
