Topic: Flying out with DJ Equipment

Dieses Thema ist veraltet und kann veraltete oder falsche Informationen enthalten.

I'm going to be flying out to another city. Anyone has any suggestions or helpful information about taking DJ gear with you? I want to bring my mixer which I will be carrying it on the plane and have my two turntable in odyssey cases. How do I make sure they can secure instead of treating it like regular luggage. I'm not sure how word but I just want make sure they are secured.

All the DJ equipment that you own, was shipped from somewhere, when it was new. I would ship it, packed and insured. However, I would check on rentals in the town, if it is a one or two night gig. It may be cheaper that shipping or taking it on the plane. Maybe a DJ from the forums could help you out.

I'm not sure about the US, but in the UK we can add on DJ gear as extra luggage that goes in a special hold with things like golfing gear, ski gear etc.

I've also been able to take my cdj 1000's and laptop on board before as 3 hand luggage.

I was thinking it would be with the skiing or snowboarding gear area. I'm actually moving to Denver. My work can ship all my stuff with no cost and have corporate living for like 30 days. I won't have my stuff until the 30 days of corporate living and also I have to find my own place before they can ship my stuff.
