DAFUXUP people!?!? I have finally came to the conclusion that I'll never be satisfied with with the performance of my brain. My brain being my dj rig/ laptop. I've been pondering for a while now and the first thing you need to do when you enter the digital dj world is to invest in the best PC or Mac. When I say best I mean as far as performance and expansion. I know we as people mainly grab what we can afford. With that being said, if you start off with a budget rig, Max it out to its fullest and save as much cash as you can to get what you want. That's where I am at the moment. I was thinking of investing in a new NS6. Now I'm more like Alienware or Mac. It's amazing how much power certain laptops are packing these days. Is there anyone out there with there dream rig? If so let us know why? My lappy is doing her job well and has been for 4 years. She's my baby. She's made me plenty money. I want to retire her now.

Having good investment will probably cost you a lot of money otherwise medium range is better and well do good job if your budget is tight. I don't recommend any brands or specific models as i've used to be more on quality the more you pay for your rig you get gold and the less you pay you get crappy monkeys. Theres is no such thing as best at very cheap price thats always obviously bad and crappy equipment that cost at a cheap price.

The cheapest gear that I've invested in was the mixtrack pro. I own 2 pioneer 800mkII, djm400, virtual vinyl, Vdj pro, akai mpd24. I admit, the mixtrack was a blessing as far as setup time. In the case of hands on it was good. In the case of scratching not so good. Made me wonder is it the controller or is it my laptop. I have no lag when I use my timecode setup. So when I started to think my next investment is going to be a high-power controller, I thought, nigh get a top notch laptop. I really want to experience the 4deck control but I think I'm going to stick with timecodes for a while longer. Any suggestions on a good rig...looking to spend about a stack+($1000+)...

This should fix the scratching with your Mixtrack,
Let me know how it goes

Hmmm...maybe you've changed my mind about this issue. Maybe I will still consider a N4 or NS6 if this works on the mixtrack pro. I'm still itching to see how Vdj runs on a rig running 16gb of ram and a killer processor.
