i want to set up lighting in my house and don't want to invest much on the it, is
Chauvet DJ Bank LED RGB Sound Activated Wash Light good enough? i am planning to get that and
American DJ Micro Galaxian Laser with Remote for laser. By the way they are sound active, but are they accurate?
I seen lots of good reviews on crane stand but i think it's little too expansive, is the griffin stand good enough? or the odyssey L stand ? I heard that the L Stand could not hold more than 15inch laptop else the whole stand would be very fragile.

The Chauvet DJbanks are an OK light, good for the price. I have two and they aren't very accurate with sound when linked, but seperately they aren't bad.
I have only used mine a few times and would be willing to sell both for a good price.
I rarely am a fanboy of certain products; however, buy the Crane stand, buy the crane stand, buy the crane stand! It is so much better than every other stand I have used. The other stands you are looking at don't compare. I have an Uberstand that is decent, but it is a toy compared to the Crane.

Yes, DJbanks can be linked; however, I have not had good results when linking them.
Deals are great, but the Crane stand is seriously a product that is worth the price.

by the way can the dj banks be stand-alone? and any idea where can you get poles to hook them up?

They work well stand alone. Poles? They have a double bracket system with holes for clamps. You can use the brackets to stand them on a table, or put a clamp (C, O, trigger, etc.) to attach them to your truss.
If you are looking for a wash light that has chase capability I would checkout something like the ADJ megapixel: http://www.americandj.com/pdffiles/mega_pixel_led.pdf It costs more but is much brighter and can be used to strobe as well.

I can attest the Micro Galaxian to be a very good laser and cover a great amount of space depending on where you mount them. Never had a problem with running them for 3hrs straight on sound active mode. Have had min for a year now, been to a dozen or so gigs.
On the stand. I have the Crane stand and they are alright. Bit expensive. Although they provide a great about of versatility as to where you can place em on the table. I personally like to use the Stanton stands. Very sturdy. Foldable so it is easy to put in my backpack along with my laptop. Only think is that the height is not adjustable.
