I have a MSi FX620DX laptop, Core i5, Nvidia Geforce GT 540M/1GB DDR3, 6GB of DDR3 RAM running WIN7 Home Premium and using VDJ 7.0.5b pro. I've had the laptop for about 10 months having set it up for the best performance, it ran all my videos and karaoke files with no problems. About a month ago, I had a problem with windows that required a reinstall of WIN7 (installed within Windows, not a clean install). The install went well, the win problem was fixed and all my programs, settings and files were as before, nothing had to be reinstalled except for the video drivers. I installed the latest drivers.
The problem...I use mp4 videos and the video will start and play for about 4 or 5 seconds then freeze and studder while the music plays on. It does this to about 3 out of 5 videos, so it doesn't do it all the time. When it freezes, I can get it to play again by going to 'set', 'video' and uncheck and recheck 'activate' in the video output section and the video will then play to the end. The karaoke files play with no problems.
What I've tried: I reinstalled the latest DIVX codecs and tried reinstalling the original video drivers...still the same problem. On the gig I use the HDMI output to push 2 flat screens. I did notice that if I use the VDJ window for the tv ouput, the videos are fine.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
Ronnie
