This has been bothering me since I started with Virtual DJ years ago and it still hasn't been fixed with all the updates. It's not a big deal, but annoying and finally decided to report. I haven't seen anyone else notice it on the forums.

I use DJ Extractor to copy the PO DVD's and put them in the default format of Number - Artist - Title. It works great up to the number 30. Anything 31 and above puts the song number into the artist field and the Artist - Title in the title field.
For example:
30 - House Of Pain - Jump Around.VOB is read into VDJ as the title of "30 - Jump Around" and Artist as "House Of Pain". Perfect!
31 - Clarence Carter - Strokin'.VOB is read into VDJ as the title of "Clarence Carter - Strokin'" and Artist as "31". Problem :(

I'm sure it was written thinking there wasn't going to be more than 30 songs per a CD/DVD. Maybe in the next update, they can expand this to a higher number.

I do not believe that the VOB container can support id3 tagging. With that in mind, Virtual DJ is probably labeling the title, artist, etc. from the file name. For example, my Karaoke files are all zipped. VDJ cannot access the mp3 tag (Wish). So, I name my files like this DRIV:\PATHTOFILE\ARTIST - TITLE - DISK-TRACK.ZIP

In VDJ, it shows up with the Artist correct, but puts the DISK-TRACK after the title. I am okay with that. Check to see if DJ Extractor is changing the way the filename is written, pay attention to the spaces in the name as well.

Correct, VOB does not support ID3 just like WAV cannot (at least not in the standard). From what I can tell, Virtual DJ parses the filename to populate the VDJ database artist and title when no ID3 info is available. It works great up to track number 30 for VOB's. There are no issues with how the filenames are written with DJ Extractor after number 30 with dashes or spaces. I just renamed "01 - Blake Shelton - Drink On It.VOB" where it imported it fine to "31 - Blake Shelton - Drink On It.VOB" and it messed up.

The WAV's from the PO CD's that I get with DJ Extractor import the filenames with the Track - Artist - Title format ok with the Artist in the "Artist" field and Track - Title in the "Title" field for tracks greater than 30.

Should be an easy fix to have the capability go higher track numbers for VOBs.
