Hello friends,
I have been searching for an answer for this for ages...
I wish to change the way Virtual displays the date in the history folder from the current YYYY.MM.DD format to DD.MM.YYYY.
E.G. 2012-03-10 to 10-03-2012
I have done a search, had a little look around the registry but nothing.
Anybody have any ideas on this?
Many thanks
Dave

Sorry, this is not currently possible.
The files are named this way to ensure that they are sorted correctly into date order.

Canadian date format is different from US date format. He wants to set it to Canadian date format.

The format is international date format, not US.

As above, the format cannot be changed.

I'm in the U.K.
It's just the way it's been for years! I am very used to it, so wanted to change it.
Thanks for your replies and help anyway, is there any plans to make this customisable in later versions, would be a nice touch!
Regards,
Dave

You can always ask in the wishes & new features forum:
http://www.virtualdj.com/forums/18/Wishes_and_new_features.html
However, they are named that way intentionally to ensure they are always listed in the correct date order.

Personally, I have always preferred that naming format. However, to the OP, you can rename them in bulk with a renaming utility like bulkrenameutility.
http://www.bulkrenameutility.co.uk/Main_Intro.php
However, if you do that, the way you are showing, then filles will show up different in the folder, with different years mixed in with the months.
